MURPHY, David - Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family and friends at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, David Murphy of Carbonear, age 61 years. Predeceased by parents: William and Margaret; step-father: William Kennedy; brother: Bernard; sister-in-law: Patricia Murphy; special friend: Edward Saunders. Leaving to mourn, wife: Donna; three daughters: Margaret (Garry) Martell, Halifax, NS, Lisa (Les) Murphy, Aylesford, NS and Amanda (Lyndon) Pike, Carbonear; six grandchildren: Colton, Spencer, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Brittany and Dylan; two brothers: William, Carbonear and Gerard (Shirley), Salmon Cove; one sister: Gloria Kennedy, St. John's; his special friends of Bill W.; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Carbonear. Interment in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the David Murphy Memorial Fund. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
