PECKHAM, John H.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, May 31, 2010, John H. Peckham of Victoria, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents: Ephraim and Hazel; sisters: Hester Clarke and Winnifred Parsons. Leaving to mourn, wife: Alice; two sons: George 'Gary' (Sandra Squibb), Harbour Grace and John Jr. (Elizabeth Austin), Carbonear; seven grandchildren: Tracy (Tommy), Scott, Christopher, Joshua, Ryan, Shelley (Valerie), Sheldon (Angela), four great-grandchildren: Abigail, Madison, Kristen and Brendan; two sisters: Ina (George) Denty and Muriel (Jerry) Attwood, both of Mount Pearl; brother-in-law: Earl Clarke, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Victoria. Interment in the United Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in John's memory may be made to the Lung Association.
