PENNEY, Elva M.- Passed peacefully but suddenly away at Carbonear on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, Elva M. Penney of Carbonear, age 66 years. Predeceased by infant son: Granville; parents: Richard and Elva Parsons; brothers: Leonard, Reginald, Robert and Lionel; sisters: Clara and Bernice. Leaving to mourn, husband: Alfred; one daughter: Jody, Carbonear; one son: Carson (Andrea), Carbonear; two grandchildren: Candice (Michael) and Susan; one great-grandchild: Alyssa; one brother: Richard (Marie) Parsons, Victoria; three sisters: Robina Crane, Harbour Grace, Dora (Winston) Bess and Marjorie Clarke, both of Victoria; brothers-in-law: Gilbert Penney, John Penney and Gordon (Pauline) Penney, all of Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Florence (Wilson) Collins, Victoria, Betty (Lloyd) Hollett and Shirley Penney (Desmond Hollett), both of Cambridge, ON; special friend: Agnes Penney, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
