McCARTHY, Patrick W.- Passed peacefully away at his residence on Monday, January 4, Patrick W. McCarthy of Harbour Grace South, age 78 years. Former owner of Mac's Food Mart, Harbour Grace. Predeceased by parents: Felix and Mary; brothers-in-law: Thomas Galway and Cliff Dempsey; sister-in-law: Mary McCarthy. Leaving to mourn, four brothers: Tom (Margaret) and William, both of Harbour Grace South, Gerald (Pauline), Barrie, ON and Michael, Harbour Grace; two sisters: Mary Galway, Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Pauline Dempsey, Harbour Grace; sister-in-law: Shirley Gallant, Barrie, ON; special friend: Pat Sweeney, Harbour Grace South; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Funeral mass to take place on Thursday, January 7 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Patrick's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
