Obituary of Mariam 'Mame' White

WHITE, Mariam 'Mame'- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, October 31, 2009, Mariam 'Mame' White of Victoria, age 73 years. Predeceased by daughter: Marion Dwyer; four infant sons; parents: James and Elizabeth Clarke; one brother: Melvin Clarke. Leaving to mourn, one daughters: Yvonne Flight (Shawn Broderick), Lower Island Cove; six sons: Donald (Brenda), Victoria, Ronald (Bernadette), St. John's, Samuel (Paula), Carbonear, Stephen, Victoria, Calvin (Michelle), Toronto, ON and Scott, Victoria; son-in-law: Roy Flight, Victoria; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers: Albert Clarke, Carbonear, James (Cynthia) Clarke and Norman (Wesley) Clarke, both of Victoria; one sister: Annie (Bill) Byrne, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; sister-in-law: Pearl Clarke, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear after 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church and Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Mariam 'Mame' White Memorial Fund.
