Passed away peacefully at the Carbonear General Hospital after fighting a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, September 24, 2009, Elizabeth V. (Smith) Sheppard of Bay Roberts, age 70 years. Predeceased by parents: Eric and Dorothy Smith; brother: Harold Smith; sister-in-law: Margaret Smith; brother-in-law: Max James. Leaving to mourn husband of 51 years, Robert; loving daughter: Cindy and son-in-law: Gary, Montreal, Quebec; brothers and sisters: Sylvia Smith (Charlie Jones), Victor Smith, Eric (Rhoda) Smith, Marjorie (Melvin) Mercer, Clara (Rendell) Mercer, Mary (Clyde) Drover, Maisie (Wilbert) Osbourne and special friend: Loretta and Dorothy (Kevin) Galway; nieces and nephews; special aunt: Florence (Joe) Mercer and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Redeemer Anglican Church, Spaniard's Bay.
