PARSONS, Winnifred 'Winnie' - Passed peacefully but suddenly away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, Winnifred 'Winnie' Parsons of Carbonear, age 78 years. Predeceased by husband: Richard; parents: Ephriam and Hazel Peckham; son: Tony and sister: Hester Clarke. Leaving to mourn, five daughters: Emma (Allan) Jackson, Coley's Point, Selma (Ted) Mercer, Bay Roberts, Debbie (Wayne) Adams and Joan (Paul) Penney, both of Carbonear and Ada (Rex) Slade, Salmon Cove; three sons: Gerald (Jean), Heart's Content, Rick (Daphne) and Rod (Georgina), both of Carbonear; sixteen grandchildren: Angie (Scott), Wendy (Danny), Wanda (Billy), Mark (Tracey), Bev (Phil), Brenda (Peter), Candace (Ryan), Brandon (Mary), Jaydon, Joni, Paula (Devon), Amanda (Ryan), Wayne (Heather), Ricky (Nicole), Danielle (Andrew) and Stephen; one brother: John (Alice) Peckham, Victoria; two sisters: Ina (George) Denty and Muriel (Gerry) Attwood, both of Mount Pearl; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment in Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Winnie Parsons Memorial Fund for a charity to be decided
