Nanny, I miss you.
It's been 12.5 years and I miss you just the same.
There's not a second in any day that I don't think about you.
I had a dream of you a few months ago. It was the first dream I remember having of you in 12 years.
I only wish to have you visit me in my dreams a little more often.
Nanny, I thrive every day to be a sweet and gentle soul just as you were.
I love you more than anything in this life and the next.
You are and will always and forever be my whole world.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. My life has not and will never be the same without you. I have this emptiness in my soul that will never be filled. I long to talk to you. I long to hug and love you. I long to smell your soft sent. I will no longer be able to do those things which makes me want them even more. I manage to get through the days without you but it is not easy. Whom ever said it gets easier with time has no idea what they are talking about. I miss and love you more today than yesterday but less than tomorrow. I love you nan from the bottom of my heart. Here is a poem I wrote for you MY HERO A hero is someone you look up to A hero is someone that sets a good example A hero is someone who is kind A hero is someone who is patient A hero is someone that loves everyone and treats them equal A hero is someone that never has a bad word to say A hero is someone that welcomes everyone with opened arms( even strangers) A hero is someone that can raise 14 children and still have their sanity A hero is someone that loves their family like no other. A hero is some that only wants happiness and love for those that they love. Nan, you do all of those things and that makes you my HERO. Nan, I only wish to be half the woman that you were. Nan, I love and miss you dearly and there is no other that will ever be like you. You are one of a kind. I love you my sweet angel. Love Heidi

The world has many heroes who have won a world of fame. Heroes who have given their all to win in life's great game. But of all the famous heroes that our changing world has had, There's not one I look up to or admire morethan my NAN. To me, my nan's a hero though she'd turn away from praise. She's heroic in her quiet strength and her gentle, giving ways. She may not make the headlines, you won't see her on tv. But I think my nan is everything a hero ought to be. She always keeps her promises, on that I can depend. She's loyal to me, no matter what, and she'll always be my friend. So when I think of heroes and the great things that they'e done I feel the way I've always felt " MY NAN'S THE GREATEST ONE. Home will never be the same without you Nan we miss more then we can say. With a very sadden heart I write this. It only means that Nan is no longer with us. Also like Billy I remember everytime I came home just waking down the yard into the porch and looking into the kitchen was like opening up a surprise package because when I walked in she would alway be there with a big smile that alway turn to tears because she was so happy to see me. Now that is a part of my life that is only in memories. I had a great childhood because I was fortunate to have her in my life everyday. Nan you will greatly be missed and I with all my heart wish that I can be there with before and the after. I do know you are loved and that you had great support around you which warms my heart.I love very much and one day we will meet again. Love Shelly (Parsons) Clarke & Family

To the Parsons Family: The Town of Victoria is sadden to hear of your Mother's passing. Violet was a very humble, kind and loving person that was loved by all who knew her. I remember spending some time at Violet's when I was a young boy after our house burned down. Although Violet had a large family she took me in and cared for me as one of her own until my parents found a place for us to stay. I will never forget the kind and caring way she treated me. On behalf of Council, staff and Citizens of Victoria I express our sincere condolences to you and pray that God will be with you and comfort you during this most difficult time.
