SLADE, Robert J. - Passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, May 1, 2009, Robert J. Slade of Salmon Cove, age 64 years. Predeceased by parents: Silvie and Effie. Leaving to mourn, wife: Frances; one daughter: Wanda (Roland) Parsons, Salmon Cove; one son: Franklyn (Joeann), Perry's Cove; three grandsons: Adam (Mackenzie), Adrian and Ryan; two brothers: Ronald (Mary) and Randy (Joan), both of Salmon Cove; two sisters: Bertha (Warrick) Reynolds, Perry's Cove and Sandra (Jim) Reynolds, Salmon Cove; sister-in-law: Ursula (Freeman) King, Carbonear; his buddy: Allan Oates, Salmon Cove; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Monday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Perry's Cove. No flowers by request, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Robert J. Slade Memorial Fund.
