PARSONS, Leonard G. - Passed peacefully away at Victoria on Saturday, March 14, 2009, Leonard G. Parsons of Victoria, age 78 years. Predeceased by 1st wife: Helen; daughter: Cavelle O'Neill; parents: Richard and Elva; brothers: Robert, Reginald and Lionel; sisters: Bernice and Clara. Leaving to mourn, wife: Avalon; one daughter: Joy (Richard) Michelin, Goose Bay; six sons: Len (Joan), Alberta, Neil, Victoria, Perry, Clarence and Lionel (Leanne), all of Alberta and Leslie (Amanda), Chamberlains; son-in-law: Brian O'Neill, Harbour Grace; seventeen grandchildren: Tanya (Derek), Cavelle (Steven), Jerry (Paula), Rebecca, Coady, Thomas, Helen, Christopher, Blaine, Lexi, Zachary, Kailey, Brian, Leslie, Andrew, Jennifer, Dillon and Jess; five great-grandchildren: Crystal, Davon, Casey, Sydney and Aurora; one brother: Richard (Marie) Parsons, Victoria; four sisters: Marjorie Clarke, Victoria, Robina Crane, Harbour Grace, Elva (Alfred) Penney, Carbonear and Dora (Winston) Bess, Victoria; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear after 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 16. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Victoria.
