Obituary of Margaret Noseworthy

NOSEWORTHY, Margaret (Andrews) of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland and Sydney River, Cape Breton - Passed peacefully away on Friday, January 2, 2009 at Sydney, Nova Scotia. Beloved aunt of Jane (Andrews) George, husband Joey and special nephew David Andrews and wife Faye of Hr. Grace. Great aunt of Kate George, Calgary, Alberta and Peter George of Hr. Grace. Also leaving to mourn her sister Edith Splane of Calgary and extended Andrews family in St. John's and Calgary. Also her special grandson Terry Noseworthy. Predeceased by her parents George and Louise Andrews, husband Theodore Noseworthy, July 2008; brothers Ralph Andrews, Lloyd Andrews, Stephen Andrews and sister Dorothy (Andrews) Pearce, also special sister-in-law Doris (Babb) Andrews. Margie will be remembered for her love of sports, especially tennis which she nurtured in Hr. Grace. As a testament to her commitment to the sport, she was inducted into the Newfoundland Tennis Hall of Fame in 1990 as a player. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Barbie and Maurice Tobin and Bob and Lin Ryan of Sydney for their many kindnesses to Margie. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Hr. Grace on Thursday, January 8 from 2-5 p.m. and from 7:30-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, January 9 at 2 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Hr. Grace. Family interment at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Hr. Grace. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations to St. Paul's Restoration Fund, St. Paul's Church, Cochrane St., Hr.
