PARSONS, Myrtle - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Saturday, May 31, 2014, Myrtle Parsons of Salmon Cove, age 76 years. Leaving to mourn, husband James of 56 years; children: Tony (Carol), John (Jeannie), Edith (Floyd), Selby (Clarrissa) and Noreen (Barry) Taylor; grandchildren: Mark, Christian, Catherine, Brooklyn, James, Heather, Ashton, Lindsay, Jacob, Joshua and Riley; great-grandson: Greyson; also special granddaughter: Julia Slade and special girls: Regan and Rebecca Peckham; brother: David Young; sisters: Joyce Rideout and Pansy Harris; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitations hours Saturday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Interment in Riverside United Cemetery, Salmon Cove. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation or Riverside United Church Window Fund.
