Mary, Wayne, Cal, John Mike was an amazing man and I am sorry he passed on. I knew him my entire life and he never failed to drop by and see me whenever I came home for a visit. He was a good neighbor. There were many chats that took place over the fence. He always had a smile and a wave that let you know he saw you. John Mike's spirit was a gentle one and he never hurt a single soul. Surely, he is at rest with God, our Father. I can only hope that he is reunited with family and friends who have gone before him. My childhood memories have John Mike woven through them. He is someone I will never forget. Certainly his house is the backdrop for thousands of photos taken by the fence. Those memories are precious. It seems amazing that John Mike lived such a simple and beautiful life for 96 years. He would have seen so many changes in the world and yet he managed to take it all in stride. I salute his life and I share in your sorrow. Know that you are in my prayers and thoughts.
