Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Lions Manor Nursing Home Sunday, January 26, 2025. Larry was born on December 18, 1949 and was 75 Years at the time of passing. Larry was predeceased by his parents: Wilfred & Beatrice Gosse; brother: Selby; sisters: Edwina, Evelyn, and Minnie; brothers-in-law: Bruce and Randy; as well as a special Uncle: Morley; co-worker and friend: Harvey Penney; his other dear friend: Willie. He has left to mourn, his loving wife of 53 years, Muriel; daughters: Veronica (Glen) and Renee (Eugene);son: Marvin (Melissa); grandchildren, who were his pride and joys as well as the lights of Larry’s life. He enjoyed each and every moment he got to spend with: Kristen (Riley), Jacob, Abby, Brianna, Emily (Torsten), Andrew, Rylea, Noah, Autumn, and Willow; siblings: Roy (Linda), Lloyd (Dulcie), Ruby (Chris), Stella (Jerry), Joyce (Bruce), Marion, Jenny (Frank), and Richie; sisters-in-law: Sandra (Merrill) and Della (Al); special and close friend, brother-in-law: Merrill; Gerald George, Howard Cranford, and Frank Pitcher (whom he played darts with in the shed); as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Larry enjoyed working in the woods, his saw mill, fishing, hunting, gardening, reading, hanging out with his faithful companion Casey and working on his crosswords. He was always the first one to crack a joke and make everyone laugh. Larry was the life of the conversation with an infectious smile that lit up the room. He was often the life of the “home” at the Lions Manor, keeping the nursing staff on their toes with all his rearranging of the furniture and making them laugh with his jokes. Although he his gone we will always cherish our memories and the time we had with him. "Though your eyes are closed, your smile remains, A beacon of light, through life's changing lanes. In memories we hold, your laughter still rings, A gentle echo, joy that forever sings. We'll see your warmth in the sun's golden ray, Feel your presence, in each passing day. Though you're gone from sight, your spirit will stay, A loving smile, to guide us on our way." Author – unknown We would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Lions Manor Nursing Home in Placentia for the phenomenal care, attention to detail and companionship that they showed Larry during his stay there. Not only did they go above and beyond for Larry they did for us as well during his last days. As per Larry’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Thank you everyone for your continued support during this time.
