Obituary of Vera Young

Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving children at Carbonear General Hospital on December 27, 2024, Vera Young of Carbonear, age 87 years.
Predeceased by husband, Warrick; parents: Robert & Emmie Badcock; brother: Robert; sons-in-law : Craig Saunders and Wayne James.
Leaving to mourn, daughters: Daphne James, Jeanette Pike (Terry Young), Edwina Priddle (John), Janice Rossiter (David), Maryann Slade (Alex), and Karen Saunders; sons: Scott (Brenda), Keith (Colleen), and Warrick Jr. (Mary); grandchildren: Cory (Charlene), Bernadette (Kevin), Eddie (Donna), Andrew (Cheryl), Jenelle (Conal), Rebecca (Brandon), Jessica (Michael), Julia, Sara, Craig Jr (Shawna), Dylan (Keesha), Bradley, Emily (Thomas), Amy, Karl, Kenny (Denika), Ryan (Heidi), Micheal (Kaitlyn), Matthew, and Adam; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Petten (Vernon) and Betty Bussey; sister-in-law: Hazel Badcock; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Our mother was a soft spoken, patient, kind hearted, caring, hardworking, and loving mother to her nine children and a devoted wife to our Dad.
She was a beautiful soul who had a bright smile and a kind word for everyone she met.
Her love and dedication to family was always evident at every family gathering. What a wonderful legacy she has left to her children - “A Legacy of Love”.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, December 29 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, December 30 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Funeral service to take place on Monday, December 30 at 1:00 pm from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Water Street, Carbonear.
Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
Reception to follow at St. James Anglican Church Hall, 13 Bond Street, Carbonear.
