Passed away at Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, Doris Lorraine Abbott nee Downing of Harbour Grace, age 80 years.
She was predeceased by first husband James Howell; daughter Kimberly Joanne; parents : Stanley and Vida (Dove) Downing; siblings : Shirley and Grant; parents-in-law: Wallace and Sarah Abbott, Bonivista.
Leaving to mourn, husband: John Eugene; step-daughter: Rachelle Reynolds and family, Ontario; siblings: Lloyd (Ada-deceased), Kilbride, John (Joyce) Clarenville, Gwendolyn (Wilfred) Mercer, Point Leamington, Edith (Roy) Dawe, Coley's Point, and Wayne (Gail) Downing, Harbour Grace; Also many other relatives and friends.
Cremation will take place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Her ashes will be inurned in the family plot at Coughlan United Church Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
