Obituary of Harold Reuben Slade

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on July 24, 2024, Harold R. Slade of Salmon Cove, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents: John W. and Elexey Slade; infant brother: Barry; brothers: Sterling and William; sisters: Florence, Harriet (Doug), and Phyllis. Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 58 years, Laura; sons: Ivan (Denice), Paul, and Brad (Kim); grandchildren: Jillian (Matt), Megan (Jonathan), Joshua, Matthew (Emily), and Kylie; only great-grandchild: Lauren Joslyn King; brothers: Ralph, Matt (Dorothy), Walter (Wanda), and John (Stephanie); sister: Doreen (Scott) Noel; brother-in-law: Fred 'Junior' Trickett; sisters-in-law: Bertha Slade and Carolann Slade; members of the Burden and White families; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Special thanks to Compassion Home Care workers for their loving care, and a special thank you to the sixth floor staff at Carbonear General Hospital. Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, July 25 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, July 26 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, July 26 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Water Street, Carbonear.
