Obituary of Edward Maloney

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on July 9, 2024, Edward "Ned" Maloney of Harbour Grace, age 86 years. Predeceased by the love of his life, Shirley; parents: Daniel and Mary Maloney; siblings: Marie Ward, Eileen (Bernard) Farrell, Helen (Ches) Neil, Theresa (Jerry) Collins, Daniel, and Gerald. Leaving to mourn, Shirley's children: Jeannie (Rick), Joanne (John), who loved him like a Dad, and Billy; sister-in-law: Rose Maloney; special great nephew: Jack, whom Uncle Ned deeply admired and always loved hearing about Jack's love for sports; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Monday, July 15 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday July 16, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Interment in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1037 Topsail Rd, Mount Pearl, NL, A1N 5E9.
