Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, June 29, 2024, Robina Y. Crane of Harbour Grace (formally of Victoria), age 89 years.
Predeceased by husband: Albert; daughter: Barbara; parents: Richard and Elva Parsons; sisters: Marjorie (Arthur) Clarke, Bernice (Jack) Sutton, Clara (Ross) Smith, and Elva Penney; brothers: Lionel, Leonard (Helen), Reginald (Violet), Richard ‘Dick’, and Robert; brothers-in-law: Winston Bess, Gordon (Rose) Crane, Llewellyn (Edwina) Crane, and Donald Crane; sisters-in-law: Beatrice McLaughlin, Florence Mullin, Anne Paciello, and Louise Archibald.
Leaving to mourn, grandson: Evan Crane, Harbour Grace; one sister: Dora Bess, Victoria; one brother-in-law: Alfred Penney, Carbonear; three sisters-in-law: Marie Parsons, Victoria, Helena Parsons, Grande Cache, AB, and Sophie Parsons, NS; also a number of other relatives and friends.
Evan would like to extend a very special ‘thank you’ to the wonderful nurses and staff of Carbonear General Hospital who cared for his grandmother in her final weeks, especially those located in the ICU. He would also like to extend a very heartfelt ‘thank you’ for the continued love, guidance and support from his cousin, Ruby Ball, who never left his or her aunt’s side during her final weeks. A very special ‘thank you’ is also extended to Kerrilynne Tetford Hawkins and Mike Dwyer who has also never left Evan’s side and could always be counted on for their support at a moments notice; your many kind words and actions will never be forgotten.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Thursday, July 4 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, July 5 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral service to take place on Saturday, July 6 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Victoria. Interment to then follow in the United Church Cemetery, Victoria.
