Obituary of James Johnson
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home in St. John's on March 8, 2024, James "Jimmy" Edward Johnson of Northern Bay, age 82 years. Predeceased by his wife: Patricia "Patsy" in 2013.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, two daughters: Sharon (Don) Hall, St. Philips and Kelly Johnson (Brett Forsey), Torbay; four grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Jessica, Weldon, and Madeline; special friend: Josie Sparkes, also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Jimmy was a lover of nature and had a deep connection to the land. He grew his own vegetables, cut his own wood, raised animals, cut hay, and picked many a berry in Northeast Woods. He spent many days at his beloved Gull Island Pond trouting, walking, and in his last summer, sitting by the pond, enjoying the beauty and his memories. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, their families, and all his friends from the North Shore.
