Obituary of Noel Kavanagh

KAVANAGH, Noel - Passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer and in the presence of his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, January 31, 2013, Noel Kavanagh of Carbonear, age 54 years. Predeceased by father: John 'Jack'; parents-in-law: Walter and Annie Peckham; nephew: Johnny Kavanagh. Leaving to mourn, wife: Marie; one daughter: Brittany (Corey Merrigan), Cold Lake, AB; two sons: Tyler and Jason, both of Carbonear; mother: Kathleen, Carbonear; seven brothers: Frank (Patricia), ON, John (Madonna), Topsail, Harry, Wayne (Karen), Kevin, all of ON, Eddie (Donna), Freshwater, Carbonear and Albert (Rose), ON; six sisters: Catherine (Art), BC, Madonna (Kevin Critch), ON, Margaret O'Brien and Patricia Clegg, both of Carbonear, Alice (Jim) Oxford, Corner Brook and Tammy Kavanagh, Carbonear; brothers-in-law: Barry (Betty) Peckham, Blaketown, Walter (Joanne) Peckham and Neil (Heather) Peckham, both of Trenton, ON; sisters-in-law: Julie (Jerry) Deering, New Harbour and Nancy (Ches) Dawe, Bedford, NS; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Monday, February 4 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. Inurnment on Wednesday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Noel Kavanagh Memorial Fund.
