To my sister Peggy, my niece Diane, Beverly & my nephew Eddy. Your dad was always special to me and had such a caring heart. I couldn't have asked for a nicer brother-in-law for sure. We will all miss him but he isn't suffering anymore which is a relief for him and all the family. I never heard him complain not even once. He had wonderful qualities and like others have noted that his laugh was contagious. Please accept my sincere condolences, your husband and Dad will be surely missed. We have nice memories!

Peggy and family,
We are so sorry to hear of George’s passing, we haven’t been in touch much lately but I always asked Ann about you and George when we crossed paths.
The world we live in now is so different we can’t do much to help in anyway at this most sad, difficult time for you and your family.
Times like this are always a little easier when friends and family are around to console you and share good memories, now that’s pretty much impossible.
We all would like to be able to let you know how much we are thinking and praying for you, just to say it here is just not enough.
Please God someday we can share again the memories from the past when things were a lot better and much happier.
I remember well how wonderful you treated our family in difficult times over the years ,always there with food, tears , smiles and prayers.I pray the days and months ahead will soften your loss.
Never to be forgotten.
God speed George

Our hearts are breaking for The whole family. The biggest memory of George would have to be his laugh, when you hear it you knew he was in the house. He was enjoying the company and the time with people he loved and most of the time that was his family. My biggest gratitude would be his teaching of carpentry to my brother Steve, everything George knew he taught Stephan and in return Steve admired, look up and respected the man he called POP, a father figure to him and for that I will always be grateful.

Dear Peggy and Family; I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. I have so many wonderful memories (and stories) of Peggy and George from the 34 years that I worked at Carbonear Hospital. Peggy and I worked in the same office and department for many years, 'back in the day' the staff were like one big family. We shared all the highlights and joys of our spouses and children. George was a good man, exceptional craftsman and had a quick humour. Rest in peace, George. God Bless you all. Wes and Elsie Rowe

Peggy, daughters; Diane, Beverly and son Edward and their families; I am so sorry to hear of the loss of a husband and father, grandfather and great grandfather. Peggy George's obituary well notes George's accomplishments in particular his well developed skill as a carpenter. Also noted was his volunteer work in the community, both as a firefighter for 28 years and a member of the Masonic Lodge for 30 years. You will miss him greatly. I trust that the pain and sorrow of the loss of George will lessen each day. That you may find solace knowing that he had a full life and made a great contribution to his community. But most of all his family.
