Obituary of Louis 'Duke' Milley

Passed peacefully away at his daughters residence, Old Perlican on Friday, March 27, 2020, Louis ‘Duke’ Milley of Burnt Point, age 92 years. Predeceased by wife: Sadie; grandson: Stephen March; son-in-law: William Royal; brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn, six daughters: Sandra (Baxter) Snelgrove, Lower Island Cove, Juanita (Wayne) Crocker, Old Perlican, Berdina Royal (Jim), Lower Island Cove, Beverley (John) Clarke, Lunenburg, NS, Arlene Milley (Kevin), Burnt Point and Lisa (Ken) March, Brownsdale; three sons: Brenden (Joan), and Derek (Kim), both of Burnt Point and Wayne (Gail), Leduc, AB; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., by invitation only, from Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Interment to take place in the United Cemetery, Burnt Point. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John’s, NL, A1B 3V6.
