Passed away at Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, February 8, 2020, Douglas Penney of Carbonear, age 63 years. Predeceased by mother: Marlene. Leaving to mourn, father: Leslie, Carbonear; two sisters: Dallas (Roland) Clarke, Victoria and Christine (Byron) Power, Carbonear; nieces: Christy (Wayne) Lawrence, Leslie (Trevor) Baldwin, and Jessica (Greg) Andrews; nephew: Jeremy Power (Georgia Lynch); great-nephews: Benjamin, Clark, and Easton; aunts: Christine Cole, Minnie Penney, and Edith Penney; also cousins, other relatives and friends. Special thank you to the nursing staff and recreation department at 1 North, Pt. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
