Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, December 29, 2019, Jack Deering of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 68 years. Predeceased by parents: John and Sadie; brother: Gideon; sisters: Margaret and Elsie; nephews: Ryan 'Rug' Hiscock and Rod Hiscock. Leaving to mourn, wife: Ada; daughter: Jackie (Jim) Squibb; son: Steven (Roxanne Kelly); two treasured grandchildren: Monica and Jackson; special nephew: Jack Crocker; special niece: Candace (Sam Crocker); brothers: Melvin (Carol), Wilf (Joan), Gerry (Julie), and Gary (Christine); sisters: Janice (Fred), Elaine (Ted), Marilyn (Wylie), Joan (Randy), and Cynthia (Derrick); sisters-in-law: Lillian and Susan (Guy); mother-in-law: Nora Collins; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Tuesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, January 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date.
