Obituary of Jim Meaney
Passed peacefully away at his residence on Monday, December 9, 2019, Jim Meaney of Carbonear, age 83 years.
Predeceased by wife: Sandra; son: Jimmy; parents: Thomas and Josephine; sister: Angela O'Brien; brothers-in-law: Bert and Doug Alcock, Godden Hulan, Hugh McCaughin; nephew: Lee Stone.
Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Susan (Philip) Hurley, Carbonear; three sons: David (Karen), Upper Island Cove, Paul (Rita), Fort Erie, ON and Sean (Paule), Petawawa, ON; seven grandchildren: Cody, Travis, Gerri-ann, Jeremy, Sarah, Emma, and Noah; three sisters: Mary McCaughin, Anna 'Nan' Hulan, and Alice 'Allie' Dawalt; special friend: Alice O'Keefe; sisters-in-law: Elaine (Fred) Stone, Barbara Peddle (Bern), and Marion (Peter) Foley; brothers-in-law: Eric (Ruby) Alcock and David Alcock; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.; 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass to take place on Friday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
