MOREY, Emily - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, Emily Morey of Victoria formerly of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 96 years. Predeceased by husband: Stewart; parents: Ambrose and Beatrice Parsons; brother: Baxter; sister: Ollie Snow; son-in-law: Ellison Butt. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Olive Butt, Victoria; one son: Clyde (Betty), Victoria; three grandchildren: Mona (Clifton), Trevor (Shelley) and Chad (Leanne); three great-grandchildren: Jarratt, Colin and Kaitlyn; brother-in-law: Fred (Margaret) Snow, Bishop's Falls; nephews: Allistar Snow, Grandfalls-Windsor and Lemuel (Sandra) Morey, La Scie; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours on Wednesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Friday, May 27 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Freshwater, Carbonear. Interment in the United Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the United Church, Freshwater.
