POWER, Laura P. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, April 17, 2011, Laura P. Power of Gull Island, age 80 years. Predeceased by: parents: Patrick and Sarah Oliver; sisters: Clare Power, Betty Borowski, Philomena Oliver and Mary Scott. Leaving to mourn, one son: John (Connie), Caplin Cove; four grandchildren: Marcel, Kyle, Antoni and Krystal; two brothers: Jim (Rose) Oliver, Montreal and Patrick Oliver, Ontario; brother-in-law: Richard Scott, Job's Cove; special niece: Darlene Johnson, Northern Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, April 20 at 2:30 p.m. from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Northern Bay. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Low Point. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted, or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
