ROCKWOOD, Miriam V. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, January 17, 2011, Miriam V. Rockwood of Broad Cove, age 93 years. Predeceased by brothers: Rev. J. Calvin King and Arthur King; sister: Lillian King. Leaving to mourn, three sisters: Edith Hudson, Boston, Minnie Snow, Carbonear and Ellen Noftle, Broad Cove; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Ocean View United Church, Broad Cove. Interment in the United Cemetery, Broad Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
