SHORT, Harriet E. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, August 2, 2012, Harriet E. Short of Carbonear, age 61 years. Predeceased by parents: Harry and Janet Howell; sisters: Sybil and Janie; brother: Buddy; nephew: Tommy. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Tina Short (Carole Dionne), Fredericton, NB, Denise (Tony) Bairos, Cambridge, ON and Danielle Short (Hal Cole), Carbonear; four grandchildren: Sarah, Madison, Emma and Abigail; one brother: Kenneth (Cathy) Howell, Halifax, NS; five sisters: Isabelle (Howard) Worthman, Heart's Content, June (Rayfield) Dalley, Carbonear, Claudette Priddle, Carbonear, Janet (Jim) Tetford, Halifax, NS and Maxine Clarke, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Harriet Short Memorial Fund.
