Obituary of Georgiana Slade

SLADE, Georgiana T.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, December 23, 2005, Georgiana T. Slade of Salmon Cove, age 76 years. Predeceased by husband: William P.; parents: John T. and Edith Lillian Cornish; brother: John. Leaving to mourn two daughters: Karen (Lindsay) King, Perry's Cove and Joan, Kitchener, ON; six sons: Philip (Millicent), Salmon Cove, Carson, Greenwood, NS, Bruce (Diane), Roger and Glenn (Judy), all of Salmon Cove and David, Kingston, ON; seven grandchildren: Lynette (Michael), Lisa (David), Lindsay J. (Howard), Jennifer, Trevor, Gina and April; three great-grandchildren: Melanie, Braeden and Kristina; one sister: Joan (Arthur) Thomas, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Melvina Butt, Salmon Cove, Rosalie Burry and Nina Gollop, both of Mount Pearl; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Monday, December 26. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers; as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
