HURLEY, Benedict B.- Passed peacefully away at the Pentecostal Senior Citizen's Home, Clarke's Beach on Sunday, March 13, 2005, Benedict B. Hurley of Shearstown, formerly of Toronto, age 80 years. Predeceased by son: Blair; daughter: Madonna Louise; son-in-law: Louie Ambas; 1st wife: Margaret F.; step-son: Lewis; brother: Brendan and sister: Loretta. Leaving to mourn: wife: Lillian, five daughters: Muriel (Wesley) Earle, Shearstown, Christine (Raymond) Hawco, Clarke's Beach, Cynthia Taylor, Toronto, ON, Doreen Hurley, Oshawa, ON and Carol Ann Ambas, Toronto, ON, three sons: Howard (Mary-Anne), Pickering, ON, Gary (Donna), Shearstown and Keith (Suzanne), Spaniard's Bay, daughter-in-law: Geraldine Hurley, Whitby, ON; seventeen grandchildren: Wesley (Maxine), Shawn (Gino), Shane (Lori), Janice (David), Jennifer, Kyle, Aaron, Christopher, Jenny, Sarah, Jerri (Hicham), Brianne, Bradley, Aimie, Guy, Megan and Luke; eight great-grandchildren: Emily, Olivia, Tyler, Matthew, Dé-Shawn, Shy-anne, Khadija and Amya; step-son: Roland (Gail) Earle, Shearstown; three step-grandchildren: Wanda Lee, Lindsay and Lewis; four sisters: Muriel, Marion, Eileen and Philomena, all of Ontario; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, HARVEY STREET, HARBOUR GRACE and from where the funeral will take place on Tuesday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m. Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
