Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Maxine P. Vaters of Victoria, age 88 years.
Predeceased by husband: Chester; parents: John and Leah (Mullay) Slade; parents-in-law: Elijah and Maude Vaters; daughters-in-law; Judy Vaters and Rose Slade; 6 sisters; 2 brothers.
Leaving to mourn, sons: Alvin (Jeanette) Slade and Derrick (Kelly) Vaters; grandchildren: Sherry (Phil) Frampton, Christa (Mark) Kane, and Dena Vaters (Carl Garland); great-grandchildren: Dustin and Angel White, Brooklyn and Blake Kane, Kyra and Kylie Frampton; step-grandchildren: Jennifer (Shawn) Gorman, Brad Summers (Aimee), and Paul Summers; step-great-granddaughter: Lexie Gorman; sister-in-law: Doris Vaters; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday, August 2 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, August 3 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Carbonear General Hospital online at www.easternhealth.ca.
