Passed peacefully away at Health Science Centre, St. John's on Wednesday, July 24, 2025, Ian "Gary" Cooper of Harbour Grace, formerly of Sudbury, ON, age 85 years.

Predeceased by parents: William and Eliza; sister: Helen; brothers: Malcohm and Carson.

Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 62 years: Lillian; daughter: Sheila; sons: Dean and Billie (Evan); 4 grandchildren: Cindy-Lyn, Dean John, Lindsay-Anne, Bryce; 8 great-grandchildren: Manhattan, Kyde, Cael, Cain, Allie Harper, Danny, Lily, and Oscar; brother: William (Mona); sister: Glenna; also a large number of other relatives and friends.

Special thank you to Carbonear General Hospital Emergency staff for the many years of tremendous care. Also, to the Health Science Centre ICU nurses for your care and compassion.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service to be held at a later date.
