BENNETT, Ella Beatrice (nee Hudson) - Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Sunday, May 20, 2007, Ella Beatrice (nee Hudson) Bennett formerly of Blackhead B.D.V. Born December 31, 1913, Ella was the youngest child of Clement and Minnie Julia (nee LeGrow) Hudson. She leaves to mourn her loving husband: Freeman Bennett at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion, St. John's; sisters-in-law: Josephine Hudson, St. John's and Gladys Bennett, Victoria, Conception Bay; brother-in-law: Ross Bennett, St. John's. She also leaves to mourn a cherished niece Rosalyn Hudson and family, St. John's and other nieces and nephews including her namesake Ella Nardone of Inverness, Florida. Ella was a long time church organist and choir director at Blackhead United Church and will be remembered for the love of music. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, MAIN HIGHWAY, WESTERN BAY with visitation hours by request of the family on Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from where the funeral will take place on Wednesday, May 23 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Blackhead. Flowers are gratefully declined, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the SPCA, PO Box 1533, St. John's, NL A1C 5N8 or to a charity of one's choice.
