PENNEY, Mabel- Passed peacefully away at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, St. John's on Thursday, February 22, 2007, Mabel Penney of St. John's; formerly of Western Bay, age 98 years. Retired Teacher. Predeceased by parents: Samuel and Hannah Penney. Leaving to mourn, nieces, nephews and families: Tryphenia (William) Greene, Eric Perry (Clare Wall), James (Helen) Perry, Betty Perry (Pat Noel), Phyllis McConnell, Shirley (Ross) Steele, Chesley (Helen) Milley, Marjorie (Clarence) Jackman, Audrey (Peter) Nell, Alice White, Constance Densmore, Mildred (Donald) Knight, Jackie (John) Curtis, Hannah (Steven) Dickinson; also a number of friends at Maplewood Apts., Shaw Street, St. John's; also a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Friday, February 23 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Due to weather conditions the Funeral Service is rescheduled to take place on Sunday, February 25 at 2:00 p.m. from McDowell United Church and Cemetery, Western Bay South. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to McDowell United Church, Western Bay.
