Ron Noel was not just my uncle he was my friend and my inspiration. He always had a smile and kind word. He spent all of his life giving and never asked for anything in return. He has touched the lives of many through the years. He was in every orgainization possible and loved them all. He wore his Lion's vest, Shriner's hat, Mason's apron, Legion's jacket and Orangeman's sash, with honor and travelled to every meeting and event possible. He was also a proud member of the United Church Men's Service Club and the Church Choir. That in it self is quite a undertaking considering his disabilities not to mention the countless hours spent selling tickets for various organizations and charities. I would also like to send my sincere thank you to all of his friends who made his life that much eaiser by just being there and helping him get around. The list is to great for me to mention but you know who you are and I will always be gratefull to you for that. Our lives will always be touched by Ronnie for he was a true gift to all.

To the Noel Family I would like to express my sincere sympathy to you all. I didn't know Ronnie well, until recently he was one of my patients, he was always pleasant, and even though he was in pain, [& I could see it on his face] he continued to have a smile. May God bless you all , as you deal with your lost.

Sharon,Ray and Family. I was so very saddened to get the call that one of my closest childhood friends has passed away. I so looked forward to coming home each summer and heading off to the mall to get my ticket and have some fun with Ron. My second son is called after him. He will be so missed for he was one of the cornerstones of Carbonear. My wife Hilda will miss her "Little Buddy". I have so many fond memories of our childhood and will miss his yearly Christmas Cards. My wife said to me that God just plucked another flower from his garden. So True. Our condolences to you and the town of Carbonear. I miss him allready. Jerry Howell and Family in Eastern Passage,Nova Scotia.

Ray and Sharon: There have been few times in my life where I have felt at a genuine loss for words, but I regret to say that this is one of them. When I spoke to Ronnie a few months ago, it was clear from his voice that his illness was far more serious than he was letting on. What can I say, Ray, he was not only always my friend, but he was always a good friend. Thoughtful enough to visit me after my father's passing and thoughtful enough, again, to visit me after my mother's passing. And, now, all that I can offer is a few words on a website. You have my sincerest and my most genuine personal sympathies.

Ray, Sharon and family. I was saddened to hear of Ronnie's passing. I will keep your family in my prayers. Dad told me some time ago that he was sick but his passing certainly came as a shock. Ronnie often attended church in one of my congregations in Upper Island Cove on Sunday evening if there was no worship at Bethany in Carbonear. Often I would get a call around supper time on a Sunday and it would be Ronnie wanting to know where I was preaching that evening. It was always a pleasure to see him in the congregation. It was also a pleasure to meet him at the Mall in Carbonear and have a chat with him. Ronnie was a special gift from God, and he touched the lives of many people. His great work for the community will always be remembered. Ray, I will be moving back home next June, living in Conception Bay South, maybe we can get together and have a chat sometime when I'm in Carbonear. Ronnie: Rest eternal grant unto you, and may light perpetual shine upon you. God Bless. The Rev Ed Samson Medicine Hat Alberta.

I know there are so many things to do after a funeral so there is no need to send a response. I want to extend my condolences. About a week and a half ago, I was in Carbonear and my sister Karen told me that Ronnie was in hospital. It was quite a shock to hear that he had passed. I remember when I was in school Ronnie would come over to the house lots of nights with Rod and the boys to watch tv or just yarn. You would always see him in the garden with the boys playing hockey. He could go like the wind with that ball or puck. He was always polite and always jolly. It's nice to see that he had such an activbe life in the community. Often times, he would be over at the mall selling tickets so I would stop to purchase one and have a chat with him. Even though it may have been several years since I last saw him, he always knew me. To all of you, I extend deepest sympathy, especially to Sharon as she was more my age group. May he rest in peace.

Just wanted to send a big Thank You to all who have sent their love and condolences of my Uncle's passing. I was asked to perform a eulogy with my brother Eric and although I know what I would like to say, I also know I would never make it through to the end. So, as I sit here gazing at the newly fallen snow, remembering my dearly beloved Uncle, inspired by all those who have spoken kind words, I feel like dispensing some words of my own. Each and everyone who has ever been touched in some way by Ronnie Noel should consider themselves blessed, for he was truly one of God's great messengers of love, kindness, sharing, and understanding. I truly believe he was sent to touch each of us in his own special way. Such a caring and loving man, always with a smile, never a harsh word spoken. Always living each day to the fullest, always overcoming hardships and persevering to make it to the next day, till alas that next day would no longer come. Friends, Men like my Uncle Ron are few and far between, if each of us could just contribute only a fraction of what Ronnie has given to the community in his 61 years then the world would be a better place. We have lost a dear member of the family, the community, and a friend to all, but his memory, in all those who he has ever touched, will live forever.

To The Noel Family, Ron was such a sweetheart! Always smiling, always had a kind gesture and it was a usual thing to see him in the mall dedicating himself to the wonderful organizations he was so proudly a member of. Ron always stopped me in the mall, we'd have a nice chat and a laugh. Ron really made the world a better place! His dedication is most certainly a legacy he leaves behind. My Aunt is a close friend of Sharon and I attended High School with Eric. There are no words nor actions to eleviate the pain of such a loss. But Please know that you all are in my prayers. May God Bless! Well done good and faithful Servant. Most Sincerely, Amanda (Dowden) Hulan

To Raymond, Sharon & Family So sorry to hear of Ronnie's passing. Carbonear has lost one of it's most outstanding volunteers. His dedication to the groups that he was involved with often got priority over his own well being. I can certainly say that he will be missed at the Masonic Lodge and I guess within the other organizations as well. We have all lost a true friend, a pillar volunteer and a great citizen of this town.

Ray, Paula, Sharon, Raymond, Michelle, Eric & Sherri; I can't tell you how sad I was when I heard the new's of Ron's passing, as I'm sure many other residents of Carbonear were. Such a kind person, a fine man, a friend to everyone and always there to lend a hand no matter what the cause. If I only bought one ticket on anything or made one donation to a cause, it would be safe to say it was through Ron. He always had a smile and a kind word. If there's a helping hand needed in our Heavenly Kingdom, they certainly have it now. Our deepest condolences to you all at this sad, sad time. May God Bless you all. Gerry & Barb (Saunders) Smith

So sorry to hear of Ron's passing. I've been away from Carbonear from over 20 years but when I think back, Ron is one of the fond memories I have of living there. He was always happy, always extremely pleasant. It's been a long time since we logged birch on the Heart's Content barrens. May he rest in peace.
