HORWOOD, Frederick P.- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, September 23, 2006, Frederick P. Horwood of Carbonear, age 93 years. Predeceased by his wife Tamar; brothers: Stewart, William, Aubrey, George, Cyril and Walter; sisters: Georgina, Frances, Marion, Bertha and Gwendolyn. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Gwen (Carl) Oates, Carbonear; two sons: Gary (Pauline), Paradise and Rick (Kate), Carbonear; three grandchildren: Krista (David) Squires, Kim (Conrad) Rideout and Erica Horwood; great-grandchild: Hailey Rideout; brother: Chesley, Carbonear; special sister-in-law: Jessie Horwood, Carbonear; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR until 12:00 noon Tuesday, September 26. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church and Cemetery, Carbonear. Flowers gratefully accepted or as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
